新人报到兼求助 无意中发现了这个好地方,先看了昌海老大的主页又浏览了科学技术版,两三个通宵下来,感慨万千,自己也说不清楚是受益非浅还是颇收打击。小弟是一名物理爱好者,本来曾怀有远大理想,相信本人的中学部分经历与这里某些人相似,就象昌海大哥自转中说的那样狂看科普和物理书,普物,理论力学之类的都是在中学干掉的,也曾拿过湖北省第三名的奥赛成绩。然而种种事情都恰巧的按照不利的方向发生,结果阴差阳错般的在上海的一所大专学校完成了我的大学阶段。一转眼毕业已经七年了,一直在一家德国公司做技术方面的工作,按照世俗的观点来看也许我混的还马马乎乎,然而我发现物理的确是种挥之不去的东西,几年来虽然不那么强烈却时时会泛出来,总是觉得活在这个世上没有什么是比研究物理问题更有意义的事情了。于是终于去年年底转为兼职,在复旦旁听物理。这是头一个学期,选的是量子力学和热力学统计物理。一个学期下来发觉数学当中所有需要靠记忆的东西全都忘记了(比方三角函数和差倍的关系,遇到了我就只好画单位圆......)加上前面又没学过数理方法,所以量子的课上的苦不堪言,快期末了才勉强搞清楚几个特殊函数,算符这玩意又着实让人费解,提问?我甚至不知道问题怎么提!好歹这两礼拜才有些眉目,可这个老师真的讲的很快,表象理论,近似方法,自旋,散射,都要考试了还不罢休接下来还要讲全同粒子散射......发牢骚,当然是自找的,但不管怎么说学习本身是充满快乐的。 想请各位根据本人目前的水平介绍点数学和物理的入门书,最好是那种比较能够把物理概念讲透的,不要老是玩些数学trick那样的,我以为所有的数学trick在更高的观点上或者更物理的观点上总是自然的不那么能打击自信心的(鄙人现在已经被打击的够戗了)或者各位在大一大二阶段曾经看过什么好书呢?这些书能从网上下载最好了,谢谢大家!

Re: 新人报到兼求助 It is not very clear to me exactly what you know and what you want to know. for quantum mechanics, learning special functions and perturbation is actually not that important. the important thing is its basic concept. Unfortunately, you will not learn it from Fudan and Zeng Jinyan's book. Feynman lecture will be a good start. being able to calculate is not as important as understanding. you probably should relearn classical mechanics as well. another suggestion, if possible, you should try to find professor Zeng1 Xin1 Yu2 (he probably has retired already) and talk to him.

Re: 新人报到兼求助 It is not very clear to me exactly what you know and what you want to know. 想知道从普通物理水平如何开始理论物理的学习。 for quantum mechanics, learning special functions and perturbation is actually not that important. the important thing is its basic concept. 恩,我是正在体会到这一点。但正如有个关于教材的帖子中所说,既然是演绎法,我看起书来很难不跳过诸如球鞋函数之类的玩意,只是当花了很长时间在数理方法之后才明白这里最重要的东西是正交性封闭性完备性之类的性质。至于概念,说老实话,我至今仍为弄明白矩阵是怎么导致量子化的,对易到底起了什么作用,陷入了数学推导中有种被牵着走的感觉。或者是我悟性太差。 Unfortunately, you will not learn it from Fudan and Zeng Jinyan's book. Feynman lecture will be a good start. being able to calculate is not as important as understanding. 现在用的教材是苏汝铿先生编写的,他课讲是很不错,只是觉得他好象把听者都当成了天才,要么是我基础差的缘故。费曼的那一本书?《费曼物理学讲义》?按照以前学习物理的感觉的确概念的理解才是最重要的东西,我也正试图寻找这种“线索”...... you probably should relearn classical mechanics as well. 恩,我是准备接下来利用暑假的时间学习理论力学和数学分析,手里还有本苏联人写的微分方程的小册子,感觉也不错,也是暑假的计划之一。有些事情很是矛盾,本来我是想先按步就班的先复习高数,普物,学习数理方法,深入学习象理论力学之类的基础课程,虽然也不断地感受到来自基础不足的压力(比如我之前根本不知道泊松括号是什么东西)但如果要提高学习效率又只能是临阵磨枪。毕竟已经虚度不少光阴,现在只能如此了。 another suggestion, if possible, you should try to find professor Zeng1 Xin1 Yu2 (he probably has retired already) and talk to him. 一个人都不认识,也不好意思找人谈了,等学略有所成了吧。

Talk to professor Zeng if you have chance. he really knows a lot. 费曼的那一本书?《费曼物理学讲义》? yes. another book is by J.J.Sakurai, best book on quantum mechanics so far. it is not very easy to read. however, if you understand first three chapters of his book really well, you understand quantum mechanics better than many people already. 按照以前学习物理的感觉的确概念的理解才是最重要的东西,我也正试图寻找这种“线索”...... starting up is always slow. It is ok to be slow. it is good to be slow. understanding the foundation is much more important than learn a lot of fancy words and tricks.
