2012年《数学文化》第四期有一篇Arnold关于数学教育的文章。文章中Arnold给出了两个“原理”：

The Arnold Principle. If a notion bears a personal name, then this name is not the name of the discoverer.

The Berry Principle. The Arnold Principle is applicable to itself.

诸位有谁知道哪位著名数学家不受这两条原理的约束？

费解的“原理”，不知Arnold所谓的“notion”为何物？比方说 Riemann Hypothesis 是否算“a notion that bears a personal name”？

我也觉得Arnold的所谓“原理”应当限定在某个范围之内，"notion"关联的应该是Riemann曲面之类的概念，而非靠演绎得到的定理。不然这个“原理”就是千疮百孔，根本无法修补。

这个Arnold principle不是Arnold提出来的，而是Berry自己提出来的。
